Wachter 239 – Strijd om de bergen – Deel 1
De bijbel verteld ons keer op keer over bergen. Er staan minstens 12 bergen in de Bijbel en die spelen allemaal een belangrijke rol in het plan van God. Iedereen kent natuurlijk wel het verhaal van Abraham die Isaak moest offeren op de berg Moria. Dit verhaal is een schaduw verhaal van Jezus die op de berg Golgotha als Zoon van God. zijn leven voor ons opofferde. Maar we hebben ook de Carmel waar Elia vuur uit de hemel zal vallen en het volk tot God terugkeerde. En de Horeb waar Hij voor Gods aangezicht verscheen en Zijn gelaat verborg. We kennen ook allemaal de Olijfberg, de plek vanwaar Jezus opvoer naar de hemel en waar Hij ook terug zal keren om voor duizend jaar te regeren op de aard. Ook kennen velen het verhaal van de berg der verheerlijking waar Mozes en Elia verschenen. Maar velen weten niet dat dat op de Hermon berg was. De berg die Israël pas heeft veroverd. De berg vanwaar de gevallen engelen van de hemel afdaalde op aarde en veel verderf hebben gesticht. Het is op zijn minst bijzonder dat deze berg in deze tijd terugveroverd is door Israël want die berg speelt een significante en profetische rol in Gods agenda voor deze wereld. In deze driedelige serie zullen we dieper ingaan op de rol van bergen in de Bijbel. Laat je verrassen en inspireren door deze boodschap.
