As with all of these check its a good idea to have a pad and paper to hand to make notes of any steps you complete should you need to refer back to them later.

Would an engineer usually install the ONT?
My open reach socket has 2 green lights no Internet what is going on here
Absolute lifesaver mate the fiber optic cable werent installed correctly
We have had a new service installed. We hooked up our router today but it is not connecting. The issue we are having (which is not covered in the video) is a flashing green PON light. According to the document that came with the video it says "Flashing green if it's making a connection". We have an engineer visiting tomorrow to look at it. Just wanted to ask if anyone else has had this issue either on a new provide or as a fault that has occured on working service and what a flashing green PON means? Does is mean a connection issue with the ISP (Zen in this case) or with the OpenReach network? Is it a software or hardware issue?
I was informed by an engineer to avoid switching the power off on the open reach box, I had to have my wiring refitted as it was too much wiring the person that did this looped it outside my front door the service worked okay, since the the wire was cut and refitted there is an intermittent clicking sound, I do not know where it's coming from, and BT claim they have never heard of other complaints, load of tosh, as I have seen other customers complain of the same issue, I do have an engineer coming to check this.
Why my open reach ont is not giving internet when i conect to my ubiquiti udm pro directly and when i conect to sky provided modem its gives internet .? My question is. Is it possible to get rid of the sky router .. and conect from ont to my udm pro se
In August 2022 my son moved 500 metres round the corner from where he lived in Honor Oak SE23 in London. He works in finance & since lockdown had to work from home. Now it's half & half at home & in the office. It's taken him 6 months from August 2022 until February 2023, for Zen via BT Openreach to get him reconnected to the internet. First he had an engineer from BT's OpenReach arrive to connect outside but knocked on the door later to say he didn't have the right tools for the job. Later he had another BT engineer turn up to work on the inside & again he told my son he didn't have the correct tools for the job. Eventually this month of February he was connected with FFTTP. Then last week while working from home his internet went down & he found two guys outside in the street working on a BT connection. When he told them they had disconnected him one got very lippy & denied it which was like setting a fuse to a rocket. Later the other guy knocked on his door to say he was reconnected. Later in the week returning from work he again found his internet disconnected. He has ended up getting compensation every week he was without internet. I'm also with Zen & would like FFTTP with the outside cabinet only 30 metres down the road but after my son's experience I'm unsure. I live a stone's throw from Wembley Stadium opened nearly 17 years ago in 2007 with full fibre for the media. On seeing a BT engineer working on a fibre connection in Empire Way I explained I only lived up the road & when could I get full fibre? On telling him I was a resident he smiled, shook his head & said BT don't care about residents like me. And my son's experience shows that attitude is still rife.
But this does show the standard of incompetence of BT engineers & complete lack of customer service by the BT organisation. And we wonder why the country is going down the tubes.
My BT ONT fibre box has no power at all.
BT don't half talk some amount of crap.
Hi is it possible to connect to the ONT config through a web browser, just the same way I can connect to a regular router? I have connected my ethernet from pc directly to ONT and there is no way to access the config server.
Hi guys, I am looking for the "How to setup a direct PPPoE" video and couldn't find it. Is it possible to re-upload it?
Hiya, I have the huuuuuge BT FFTP ONT box. It's in such a stupid location in the middle of a main wall. Can I personally move it just further down the wall? Or do I need an engineer?
Is it normal for mg Port 1 light to be blinking? I have recently changed broadbands and ever since I’ve been experiencing packet loss.
My port light is blinking – is that normal?
