I am a Catholic, with Jewish ancestry. I am married to a woman who is not a Catholic but is a good Christian woman who was baptized in an assembly of God Victory Tabernacle church. She had friends growing up who were Catholic before she met me. Some people in my family opposed our marriage and some people in her family opposed it. She divorced and married me. Her children all respect us as a couple but they seldom call or visit. the main point is, I am not just a Catholic but I am a born again Christian. My father was a Baptist and my mother was a Catholic. When my mother died, my father converted to Catholicism, but still he held a grudge against me for marrying a woman who had been married with children and divorced who could not bear any more children. My father wanted for me to marry another Catholic so I could have children and carry on his name.

I recently read Deut.28: 37 and realised it was a prophesy you may not be aware of. I'm 91 & English. When a child, if I was restless and unsettled, my Granny would say' For goodness sake, sit down and keep still. You're like a Wandering Jew". It was a common saying for someone who roamed about. There is also a green plant that trails everywhere and is called "Wandering Jew".
On a different note, my father was a soldier in WW2 and served in the Middle East. He wasn't a church-goer. In 1948, he was listening to the news about how angry some folk were about the Jews getting land. He said to my Mum, "I don't know what they are making such a fuss about. I've never seen a more God-forsaken spot, it's all swamp and desert." He knew nothing about the promise to Jews, but was a keen gardener and didn't think anything would ever grow there.

I disagree with divorcing a spouse and remarrying another is alright with God. This divorce of a spouse and remarrying another shows hardnwss of ones heart ..if we do not forgive others their sins against us, the God will not forgive our sins against Him…
