unredact — a tool that exposes poorly redacted PDFs. Here’s the deal: Some PDFs aren’t actually redacted. They just slap black boxes over text… but the original text is still there — selectable, copyable, and extractable. unredact doesn’t hack anything. No encryption bypass. No exploits. It simply extracts text that was never truly removed from the PDF content stream. And if you get blank spaces? Good news — the PDF was redacted properly.

This applies to a lot of the recent Epstein docs dump. There were a LOT of redactions, when Congress said nothing should be redacted, and it turns out that most of those redactions aren't actually redacted. I think it was an inside job, and whoever did it has cover from Congress.
