How did you get that much open time out of your filler?
was it ever finished, and did she get it?
You guys act like if this was the final.product. they still need to sand and that will show them where high spots and low spots are present. Everybody is a professional behind a keyboard
Who teach you bloody panel work …you are a disgrace to mustang body
I like the metal spreaders , are those for Bondo or they pretty much like a putty knife? Good info 👍 thanks.
Is it your first body work job?
Glad I don't have to sand that. lol
You guys are making way to much work for yourself holy cow! I retire cars for a living. Skim coating is ok but you guys aren't skimming. Your globbing it on. Using a 4inch spreader??? Come on. When I skim coat big panels I place a huge blob of filler then get my flexible piece of 10,12or 14 inch x 2inch piece of plastic and start spreading. Try it. I'm sure you are also using a 6in h sanding block or a da sander. Get some dura blocks.
It'll come out just fine for Sandra, you guys are being too harsh on the kid. He not a hack. hacks don't tape edges or take care in spreading bondo. Hacks primer on 180 grit scratches and paint on 320 and stand in front of it when the customer picks up the car.
1. He is doing a great job spreading it with what he has.
2. He also knows what he is talking about regarding amount of bondo being applied and taken off, the end result is not going to be more than recommended.
This is great for the customer, at least they are not hiding from the customer. They are doing decent work.
Why not just replace the quieter??
For the cost
Too much filler and not enough time spent with a hammer and dolly.
he needs to learn how to spread bodyfiller
Looks like a good candidate for that new blade tool that is on you tube . For a number of years now I have been using a piece out of the back part of an old hand saw that has the straight back on it. With a zip cut on my grinder and full face shield I cut a 2 and a half inch wide strip out of it about 18 to 20 inches long. I found that it worked great for most plastic filler jobs on long panels. . You can customize them to suit your own needs. Also used black primer as a guide coat to find the places that require a bit more attention. The powder guide coat is great too. Good luck with the Tang.
That quarter will never be straight. I can't believe what people do to cars. Besides is is he using a metal spreader? Right tool for the right job that's your first lesson to all those playing body man
If you spent less time in the tattoo shop and more time in the body shop watching someone who know what they are doing then your work would be a lot better…
play doh ? hahahaa
Man this is painful to watch.
